Joel J. P. C. Rodrigues is a professor at the Federal University of Piauí, Brazil; and senior researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Portugal. He has been professor at the National Institute of Telecommunications, Brazil; University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal, and visiting professor at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), Brazil. He received the Academic Title of Aggregated Professor in computer science and engineering from UBI, the Habilitation in computer science and engineering from the University of Haute Alsace, France, a PhD degree in computer science and engineering and an MSc degree from the UBI, and a five-year BSc degree (licentiate) in computer science and engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. His main research interests include IoT and sensor networks, e-health technologies, vehicular communications, and mobile and ubiquitous computing. Prof. Rodrigues is the leader of the Next Generation Networks and Applications (NetGNA) research group (CNPq), an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, Member Representative of the IEEE Communications Society on the IEEE Biometrics Council, and the President of the scientific council at ParkUrbis – Covilhã Science and Technology Park. He was Director for Conference Development - IEEE ComSoc Board of Governors, Technical Activities Committee Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Latin America Region Board, a Past-Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee (TC) on eHealth and the TC on Communications Software, a Steering Committee member of the IEEE Life Sciences Technical Community and Publications co-Chair. He is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications and editorial board member of several high-reputed journals (mainly, from IEEE). He has been general chair and TPC Chair of many international conferences, including IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE HEALTHCOM, and IEEE LatinCom. He had been awarded several Outstanding Leadership and Outstanding Service Awards by IEEE Communications Society and several best papers awards. Prof. Rodrigues is a member of the Internet Society, a senior member ACM, and Fellow of IEEE.

Dr. Hamed Taherdoost is a Full Professor and Chair of the Research and Strategy Advisory Committee (RSAC) at University Canada West, and the founder of Hamta Business Corporation. He has over 20 years of experience spanning academia and industry, with expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, information systems, digital transformation, technology adoption, and research methodology. He has published over 500 scientific articles, 70 book chapters, and authored or edited more than 50 books. His research contributions have been recognized through various international rankings and awards, including inclusion in the Stanford–Elsevier list of the world's top 2% scientists. Dr. Taherdoost has served as an editor, associate editor, guest editor, and reviewer for numerous international journals and publishers, including Springer, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier, Emerald, MDPI, and IEEE. He is also a senior member of IEEE and an active contributor to international research communities in information technology, cybersecurity, and intelligent systems.
